On the Heels of a Second Impeachment Trial: The Trump effect still lingers

One of my best friends from college always seemed to be backing Trump at every turn, and I would often get into heated arguments with him about it. Yet, he was always one of my best friends. And the funny thing with him, now that Trump lost, it’s as if the Trump virus has no longer infected my friend Continue reading

The Death of American Conservative Intellectualism – November 2020 Edition

When you have bad faith actors representing one ideological movement, it’s only a matter of time before the other side becomes bad-faith actors too. It is simply disingenuous to say both parties are equally bad. The Republican party as we know it, is a cult. And it’s a dangerous cult. Continue reading

2020 US Presidential Election time…the darkest election in our lifetimes

These next four to eight years will be so crucial for America, and the world. I just pray that, regardless of the result, that we can peacefully move on to a new term in office starting January 20, 2021, and that whoever the President is – he will be able to rise to the challenge and be able to heal all Americans from the pain and suffering so many of us have had to endure over these past number of years and months in particular. What does “The Truman Show” and “Facebook” have in common?

If you ever wondered why your conservative friend or liberal friend seems to live on a different planet than you….it’s because he or she does. Continue reading

“Breonna Taylor, white-supremacy, & America’s inequitable ways.”

I’m not embarrassed for turning the channel on my life, for trying to avoid horrible news. I’m embarrassed at how easy it is for me to turn it off. How privileged I am to be able to avoid it, and for it to largely not impact my life. Continue reading

How I can simultaneously still be a Democrat and vote for the Biden-Harris ticket for President, while criticizing them too.

The pool of voters for Biden is much larger than people realize. Trump’s supporters are shrinking more and more and there actually a ton of persuadable voters that actually want a politician to level with them. Blind loyalty to the Democrats is a turn off to people that were sympathetic to Trump prior to the pandemic. These voters aren’t stupid and they resent being treated as such. People that never thought they could ever vote for a Biden / Harris ticket, actually might, but they don’t want to be lumped in with a bunch of sycophants. Continue reading

THE NBA & CHINA: A GEO-POLITICAL AFFAIR!

Very rarely does Geo-political matters and the State of the National Basketball Association intersect like this, but it has, and the NBA gets a failing grade for its handling of this matter (14). They are more concerned with corporate greed much like GOOGLE, APPLE and many other multi-billion-dollar entities who are Head-Quartered in the UNITED STATES (15). To say otherwise, means either you are truly ignorant, willfully ignorant, or you have a real incentive to protect the NBA Brand because of financial reasons (16), Continue reading

The first Female President of the United States will be…

Here’s the catch for those of you who aren’t familiar with the US Constitution[vii] (at all), AOC is only 29, and according to the Constitution she needs to be at least 35 to be POTUS[viii]. “Poll finds that 74% of Democrats (and people who lean Dem) would consider voting for Ocasio-Cortez if she were old enough to run for president”[ix]. So, realistically I see AOC running for POTUS in 10-18 years. I’d settle on 14 as part of the sweet spot, where she will be just in her mid-forties, seasoned enough to do everything and anything, and still young enough to have the mantle of being the Millennials’ Champion! Why more people should be gravely concerned!

This is a very dark period in our Country’s History, and the saddest part is all this stuff happening is just setting in motion much starker and bleaker problems. If history is any guide, the America I was born into simply will cease to exist in my life-time. That’s a fucking scary thought! Continue reading

Crying for America!

I am concerned about the extra-heightened rhetoric turned against Trump.  Yet, I also think he has done a great deal to further perpetuate it.  If the President always goes an inch too far (or hell 100 miles too far) what does that make of the population at large?  Up until now, no President in my lifetime dared to go this far in his blistering rhetoric against citizens of his own nation.  The closest I can remember to something or someone like Trump is Sarah Palin when she was McCain’s running-mate back in 2008.  And at the time, McCain asked his supporters to use restraint.  Continue reading
